Travis Garland might be a new name to you, even though he has been grinding in the industry for years, but if this is your first time hearing the singer, you will certainly remember the name now. Garland began his career on the Pop side, in boy band NLT, after parting ways with his former label and Interscope, the Texas native began crafting his own, more mature vibe of Pop R&B/Soul with production group the Stereotypes (Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige).

“I strive to just be something different, a breath of fresh air,” Garland said. “Someone who is true to the art of it, that’s all I want to be.” Garland built a strong following with the 2012 release of ‘Fashionably Late Vol. 1’ and some successful Youtube cover videos. Hoping to build on the growing buzz the 23-year old has released the free follow-up ‘Fashionably Late Vol. 11.’

“I tell people its gumbo,” Garland said when asked about his sound. “It’s a little bit of pop and R&B, paired with growing up singing in church. And sex, vibe and art all thrown together.”

Comparisons with be made to Justin Timberlake, but Travis is on his way, and he proves his talent with songs such as “Homewrecker” and “Where To Land,” which he shot a video for while in London. Stream and download the new project below:
