Chris Brown‘s return today with the hot new single “Fine China” officially kicked off the process of remaking his image to the public. While, he previously told Angie Martinez, he is not comfortable with doing an interview on Oprah just yet, Chris paid a visit to the ‘Today‘ show and spoke opening with Matt Lauer. Unlike previous visits, Chris was open to discuss any topic, and of course that meant Matt had to grill CB on his current state and personal progression since his 2009 assault on Rihanna, their relationship now, and how he is moving forward.
As he has previously said, he is not interested in trying to change the naysayers opinions, but just keep his fans and family happy. “For me, it’s about proving myself to my fans. I think my fans have been the number one support for me,” he said. “The naysayers are gonna have their opinions. I’m not gonna focus my life on trying to please those people. The only thing I can do is please my family, please myself, and please [Rihanna].”
Chris also participated in a flash mob to the new single “Fine China.” Peep the interview below:
