The-Dream slows down and takes you back in time with the brand new music video for his latest single “Slow It Down” featuring Fabolous. The platinum hitmaker and the NY MC attend a retro party, 50’s style, as they slow dance with their ladies, and stress the need for the DJ’s to get back to some heartfelt tunes.
Dream confronts some racial tension, as he heads to the parking lot to drag race with a muscle-bound actor. As the video ends before the race starts, the text “I thought music was to be the only place where color didn’t matter, I was wrong,” comes across the screen.
The melodic track is the first single off Dream’s upcoming fourth album IV Play, which is due out May 28. Peep the video below:
