Emeli Sandé brought her brand of British soul to the 2013 ESSENCE Music Festival on Friday night. The Scottish songstress packed out the Ford Superlounge for an unforgettable performance.
Sandé opened her 30-minute set at the piano for “Daddy,” a UK single off her debut album, ‘Our Version of Events.’ She continued to astound with her soaring vocal, performing her featured verses on Naughty Boy’s “Lifted” and “Wonder,” along with other ‘Our Version of Events‘ songs, including crowd favorite, “My Kind of Love,” and her hit U.S. single “Next To Me.”
