Jennifer Hudson has been busy behind the lens, but she also lends her incredible voice to the soundtrack of the upcoming Winnie Mandela biopic. Not only does Hudson star as the political activist, she pours her heart and soul out on “Bleed for Love.” The stirring ballad, which was written by Diane Warren, features South Africa’s Soweto Gospel Choir, and was produced by Harvey Mason Jr., Laurent Eyquem, and David Franco.
“‘Bleed for Love’ has such an incredible and meaningful message about the power of love and the extension of the human heart,” said Hudson. “Diane wrote a beautiful song and it was an honor to work with her and the rest of the team to create this powerful piece of music.”
The Winnie Mandela soundtrack is available now, while the film hits theaters on Sept. 6.
