Justin Bieber has had his share of legal and negative media trouble lately, but the young superstar is hoping to diminish the gossip and return the focus to his music. Biebs has been progressing his sound in a more R&B inspired direction as he matures and he has now announced a new ‘#MusicMondays’ release series.
Taking to Twitter to reveal his plans, the schedule will begin at midnight this Sunday with the release of “Heartbreaker.”
“Sunday Midnight #heartbreaker #MusicMondays #10weeks,” tweeted Justin. This confirms manager Scooter Braun‘s tweet in September claiming Bieber would be releasing new music on an October-December schedule. Braun previously said this strategy will remove Bieber from the gossip cycle that generally accompanies an album cycle, allowing him and his fans to focus solely on the music.
Bieber has been teasing new music for a while, including a couple brief snippets of “Heartbreaker,” and Ariana Grande said she’s heard Bieber’s new stuff and that it’s “amazing.”
