Mary-J.-Blige-Grammy-Interview

Mary J. Blige has released her first-ever holiday album with ‘A Mary Christmas‘ this week. Prior to the album’s release, MJB sat down for an exclusive Grammy.com interview to discuss the making of the album, which was co-produced by multi-Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer David Foster.

“The way I get to the point of making you believe that it’s Christmas is going back to Christmas as a child,” said Blige. “Becoming that child again, remembering what was going on when we were decorating the Christmas tree, what song was playing, how it made me feel, and sharing that with everyone.”

A Mary Christmas features Blige’s soulful interpretations of 12 holiday classics, including collaborations “The First Noel” featuring the Clark Sisters, “Do You Hear What I Hear” featuring Jessie J., “When You Wish Upon A Star” featuring Barbra Streisand, and a Spanish-language version of “Silent Night” (“Noche De Paz”) featuring Mark Anthony.
