Jennifer Hudson teams up with Forest Whitaker and Jacob Latimore for the first single from the motion picture soundtrack to their upcoming film ‘Black Nativity.’ The inspirational collaborative effort is a remake of Walter Hawkins classic “Be Grateful.”
Whitaker leads off the soul stirring rendition, before Hudson takes it up to the rafters with her anointed vocals, and Latimore joins in over the backing choir, and some additional riffs from Luke James.
The ‘Black Nativity‘ soundtrack will be available for pre-order on iTunes starting Oct. 15, and hit stores on November 5 via RCA Records. Those that make an early purchase with receive “Be Grateful.” The film stars Jacob Latimore, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Tyrese Gibson, Nas, Luke James and more, it will hit theaters on November 27.
