Eddie Murphy surprised and actually impressed us with his comeback to music earlier this fall with the reggae song “Red Light” featuring Snoop Lion. Following an interesting interview with RollingStone, the Hollywood superstar had us curious for what he had in the stash, and cooking up for his upcoming album, which would be his first official release in 20 years.
Well, now Murphy has premiered the next single off the album ‘9,’ which is a ballad entitled “Promise (You Won’t Break My Heart).”
We can simply say with this track he broke our hopes of a surprisingly decent follow-up. The song leaves much to be desired from a tender love song in Babyface fashion, this is not what we want to hear from the actor/comedian.
