Bow Down!! The previously released buzz song of the same name, released by Beyoncé earlier this year, couldn’t have been a better indication of what the future would bring!
It has been revealed that in little over 24 hours after making its debut on iTunes, Beyoncé has sold a whopping 430,000 copies of her surprise fifth album.
According to Billboard, the self-titled visual LP has easily moved enough units to secure the No. 1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200.
BEYONCÉ sold over 80,000 downloads in the first three hours of release and throughout Friday moved another 350,000, putting the total at 430,000.
With two more days left in the sales week, Bey’s fifth album could top 600,000. Final numbers will be announced when the chart is revealed on Wednesday, December 18.
Meanwhile, BEYONCÉ is on track to become the biggest sales week by a female artist since Taylor Swift sold 1.2 million copies of Red in November 2012. At this rate, it would also give Bey the best debut week and best sales week of her career. Her 2006 album B’Day opened with 541,000 in September 2006.
Additionally, these are only digital sales. Physical copies are currently in production and are scheduled to arrive in stores on December 23.
All hail the Queen!!
