In what was one of the year’s most electrifying performances, Janelle Monáe & Prince performed their new duet “Givin Em What They Love” together onstage for the first time ever this past Sunday night. The performance took place at Mohegan Sun in CT, where Ms. Monáe opened for the music icon.
A longtime supporter of the Grammy nominated CoverGirl, Prince declared onstage that Monáe’s video for “Q.U.E.E.N.” featuring Erykah Badu was the best video of the year, adding that The Electric Lady was the best album released this year. Check out some footage from the show after the jump.
Monáe will ring in the New Year headlining Atlanta’s 25th Annual Peach Drop 2014.
