Luke James premieres the anticipated music video for “Strawberry Vapors.” Lifted from the Grammy Award nominee and Soul Train Award winner’s complimentary album ‘Whispers In The Dark’, the Sarah McColgan helmed visual arrives on the one year anniversary of the critically acclaimed project.
The New Orleans bred crooner describes the video as “a musical illustration of two people connecting less in the physical, but more in the cerebral.”
He reunited with Sarah McColgan (Miguel, Kelly Rowland) who directed his “Oh God” video featuring Hit-Boy. “I wanted to create a video that had a surreal quality with a slightly dark undertone,” says Sarah. “Luke is such a great inspiration to me, so I imagined a slightly esoteric visual that would really emphasize the dreamlike quality of the song.”
Luke currently serves as the opening act on the second U.S. leg of Beyoncé’s “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” and is a featured star in the holiday musical film, Black Nativity, in theaters now. His debut album is slated for release in 2014 via N.A.R.S. Records / Island Def Jam.
