This past week, R&B songstress Faith Evans shut down the House of Blues in L.A. and brought along a few friends to help. Calling on Kelly Price to open up with her big voice, the former lady of Bad Boy Records surprised the audience with longtime friend, Diddy, to accompany her on stage as well.
Performing their Grammy-winning cut, “I’ll Be Missing You,” the two didn’t miss a beat as they sang the tribute track together. Debuting in 1997 as a remembrance song for Faith’s ex-husband and close friend/artist of Diddy, Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace, “I’ll Be Missing You,” is what we now know as a classic collaboration. Sure to have been a tear jerking performance, Faith and Diddy performed the almost 20 year old track as if it just dropped yesterday.
Faith, who is scheduled to appear at the Grammy’s on January 26th where she is nominated for ‘Best R&B Album’, tweeted her thankfulness to the man whom she still calls Puff saying, “Thanks to my bro @iamdiddy for coming out to rock the stage w/me & @1500orNOTHIN 2nite!”
Such a good thing to see these two on the stage together again. Check out a clip of the performance below!
