Jennifer Hudson has had her share of turmoil, and it’s amazing that she’s so positive and strong. On Wednesday night, Hudson was awarded the Favorite Humanitarian Award for her charity work in her hometown of Chicago at the People’s Choice Awards.
On accepting the award, Hudson spoke on the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, which was created in memory of her nephew, and has been serving great purpose on giving back to the community. Hudson also spoke on using her celebrity to make a positive difference.
She dedicated the award to her mother, brother, and nephew who were all murdered in 2008.
