After a week off, DJ Carisma and Abby De La Rosa returned last night for a new episode of “The Cookie Jar.” The ladies were joined in TheMixShow studios by buzzing teen R&B star Trevor Jackson on Monday.
The 17-year-old singer spoke about his club single “Drop It,” the upcoming music video for the remix with B.o.B, his early R&B influences, landing the role as Young Simba in Lion King on Broadway when he was 8 years old, and following his dreams to be a multi-talented artist.
Additionally, Trevor spoke about his latest single and title track of his debut EP “New Thang,” which was written by Eric Bellinger, and he showed off his vocal with a short a cappella performance of “One Girl.”
As always Carisma spun the hottest and sexiest in current R&B along with some throwbacks, while Abby asked all the juicy questions.
