Chris Brown spent the weekend in jail, and now he is facing a court appearance over his dismissal from rehab and whether he should be given additional penalties, which could include more time behind bars.
The R&B superstar was arrested and forced to spend the weekend in a downtown Los Angeles jail for violating the rules and regulations of his court-ordered anger management rehab. According to Billboard, the court records do not elaborate on the reason for Brown’s dismissal from the facility in Malibu that was treating him for anger management, substance abuse and issues related to bi-polar disorder.
TMZ, who first broke the story on Friday, say that Chris was thrown out of the Malibu rehab facility for violating 3 internal rules, including a special rule imposed specifically on him – Stay at least 2 feet from the women.
TMZ says, the rehab facility imposed the 2-foot rule because of the Rihanna case. The people who run the facility imposed the highly unusual rule, and we’re told Chris violated it by touching elbows and hands with a woman.
As for the other violations, sources told TMZ that Chris left the facility last week on an authorized outing, but when he returned he was told to submit to a random drug test and he refused. Their sources say he later took the test and the results were negative, but the initial refusal was a violation of rules.
And the third violation, according to their sources, was that the facility made a claim that Chris made a mockery of rehab during a group session with some harsh comments.
