L.A. based artist Mike Jay has been building his reputation as a respected songwriter for many of today’s hottest acts including Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Ciara and more. Now, the 21-year-old singer/songwriter has released his debut EP, and he is sure to grab your attention if he hasn’t gotten it yet.
Featuring the YG and Too $hort assisted single, “For A Week,” The Mike Jay EP is a great combination of pure R&B sounds. Beginning with the sultry track, “Real Strippers” and keeping the sexy going, the 6-track project is a definite hit in the music department.
Singing, “Girl you got that perfect weather,” the young singer is sure to make it rain for the ladies on his standout track, “Perfect Weather”. The project also features a sample of the ’90s smash hit, “If I Fall In Love” by the powerhouse group, Shai. Following suit of the current bass driven R&B craze leading out of of the west coast, Mike Jay is sure to be an artist to watch in 2014.
