R&B groups are back on the rise and the latest to emerge from the Atlanta scene is quadruple force – Havok Jones. Comprised of Kea Aleis, MaiDai, Aire B. and Neiko, the ladies have just released their first viral single, “Where You At?”
Taking elements from some of the greatest girl groups of the past, the Atlantans’ musical influence is said to embody the vocal ability of En Vogue, charisma of TLC, star power of Destiny’s Child and strength of Xscape.
Created and given their name ‘Havok Jones’ by vocal coach Ms. Queen, the ladies define their alias as: “Similar to the cliché, instead of keeping up with the Jones’, we wreak havoc on them,” said Havok Jones. “Since the Jones’ are the pinnacle of success, we want to overachieve and surpass the standard – humbly.”
The Southern hummingbirds credit their hometown girl group heroes for their relatable, quality sound. Ready to begin their voyage to the top of the charts, the quartet are working on a ’90s cover EP, but make their official introduction with the short but precise “Where You At?”
