The greatest, most beautiful species on earth are women, and Pharrell has been championing this feeling heavily with his sophomore album G I R L. Following the release of the music video for his single “Marilyn Monroe,” the “Happy” hitmaker uses additional footage from the video shoot to share a visual letter titled ‘Dear G I R L.’
“That which makes you different is what makes you special,” says Pharrell. “I love when you’re silly, I love when you smile, make a funny face, I just melt. It’s beautiful to see a girl that is honest and free.”
Set to the beat of Marilyn as well, Skateboard P breaks down the songs hook at the end of his letter.
