The Birthplace of America was the place to be on this year’s July 4th!

Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway was packed to extreme capacity on Friday night as the City of Brotherly Love hosted the annual Philly 4th of July Jam. Celebrities, Philadelphia locals, and visitors came together to celebrate America’s birthday in style.

After a full day of patriotic activities, the Wawa Welcome America! Festival put on the “Largest Free Concert in America,” featuring Philadelphia’s own The Roots who opened up the show as the house band, while comedian & actor Marlon Wayans hosted the event.

The Philly 4th of July Jam didn’t disappoint as concert goers were treated to hit-full sets by the likes of Aloe Blacc, Jennifer Hudson, Nicki Minaj and Ed Sheeran. The day’s events came to a close with the traditional grand fireworks finale over the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
