On Sunday night BET aired McDonald’s 11th Annual ‘365Black Awards’ hosted by Terrence ‘J’ Jenkins and actress Tika Sumpter. The award show was originally taped in early July during the ESSENCE Music Festival in New Orleans.

The ‘365Black Awards’ are given annually to salute outstanding individuals who are committed to making positive contributions that strengthen the African-American community. This year’s honorees included civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton; film producer Will Packer; music executive Kevin Liles; inspirational leader Iyanla Vanzant; former NFL athlete Dhani Jones; and McDonald’s owner/operator Henry Coaxum.

The event featured performances from many of R&B’s elite including Tank, Ledisi, Jazmine Sullivan, Leela James, Kim Burrell, Mali Music, Kem and Kierra Sheard. The stunning Jazmine Sullivan was a sure highlight of the show as she took the stage to perform her brand new song “Mona Lisa (Masterpiece)” for the first time on television.

This past March, Sullivan debuted the song at the KOKO Theater in London.
