If you’ve been following the roller coaster lifestyle of Chris Brown, you should know that 2013 was a really rough year for the boy. While still on probation from his 2009 assault on then girlfriend Rihanna, the now 25-year-old singer reportedly punched a man in the face outside of his tour bus in October.
Now, almost a year and 108 days served in jail later, the singer – whose album is set to be released in 2 weeks – has been charged with misdemeanor assault for the case. Brown’s bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was also convicted of misdemeanor assault for the same case back in April and has not yet been sentenced. Appearing in court on Tuesday, September 2, Brown apologized to the room stating, “I would like to say to the court that I’m sorry.”
Breezy’s attorney, Danny Onorato feels as if he has already been extensively punished for his wrongdoings based on the time he spent in an L.A. prison. “To say that he’s been punished severely in this matter is an understatement,” he stated.
Exiting the courthouse with his down-chick Karrueche Tran, the singer was welcomed by a swarm of fans and media as he made his way to his vehicle.
While news of a joint tour with Trey Songz was recently revealed, we’re not sure how this new plea deal will effect Breezy’s plans of giving the fans what they want.
Here’s to keeping our fingers crossed for good news!
