Eric Bellinger
Last, but certainly not least is singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger. Having an extensive track record for penning some of your “favorite songssssss,” Eric’s solo career hit an ultimate high this year when he dropped one of the hottest radio/club hits of the spring with “I Don’t Want Her.” The song, which featured rapper Problem, helped expose Eric to a different audience and pushed his name into the open more than it was previously. And, rightfully so.
In addition to his break-out single, the singer released his official album The ReBirth, featuring a slew of stellar R&B mid-tempos, slow jams and bedroom booms. Extending his presence across the industry Eric was also featured on DJ Mustard’s 10 Summers album (“4 Digits”), co-penned some of the biggest tracks of the year (Chris Brown’s “New Flame”), and most recently delivered one of the most intriguing conceptual mixtapes Choose Up Season. While 2014 brought him great success, we’re sure that when his new album, Cuffin Season, hits shelves in 2015, everyone will understand why he’s landed a spot on this year’s list of artists we’re most thankful for.
This year has brought us a lot of great talent and albums! Don’t see an artist that you are thankful for this year? Let us know in the comments section!
Thank you for this post! Today is not the easiest time for R&B artists and listeners but we gotta thank people that keep doing their magic and even pushing this genre forward.
I would also add to this list is Rochelle Jordan & JSMN
Nah, Turn up the list to 12 rather and include Chrisette Michele And Rochelle Jordan!
