Chantay Savage is a R&B/Dance music singer/songwriter, and musician who found much success in the 1990s with her single “I Will Survive.” She reworked the Gloria Gaynor disco anthem making it a soulful rendition of her own.
“I Will Survive” was the title track and released as a single off her second album I Will Survive (Doin’ It My Way). The single became a moderate hit in the U.S., where it reached No.5 on Billboard’s R&B chart, and was certified gold by the RIAA.
Savage also found collaborative success in the ’90s as her uniquely soulful voice lead her to work with artists such as Aaliyah, En Vogue, TLC, Mary J. Blige, SWV, and more. Enjoy the throwback above!
