Chris Brown fans will have to wait a little longer to see him on tour. The “Loyal” singer has delayed the start of the “Between the Sheets Tour” with Trey Songz so that he can complete his community service.
The 25-date trek was originally set to kick off on Tuesday, Jan. 27, but it will now be postponed by “a couple weeks.” A new start date has not been determined.
An apologetic Breezy took to Instagram to make the announcement. “I would first like to apologize to all the fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years,” he said.
Earlier this month, the judge revoked Chris’ probation due to unapproved travel and failure to complete his 1000 hours of community service on time.
The judge would not allow him to travel for the tour until he performs 100 more hours of community service.
“The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service,” he said. “I promise that I am busting my ass doing it everyday until it’s complete. This is the most disappointing news I’ve gotten in a while.”
But he vowed to complete his hours so he can return to the road. “Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on. Out of 1000 hours I only have 100 left. I will work my ass off to complete it and I will be on that stage. We will let yall know the dates that are changed. It’s not cancelled. Just moved around a couple weeks.”
His tourmates Trey and Tyga also acknowledged the delay.
Just a lil Intermission…
