Charlie Wilson will release his seventh solo album Forever Charlie on Jan. 27 via RCA Records. The project has been lead by the smooth singles “Goodnight Kisses” and “Touched by an Angel,” but now, only days before the LP hits stores, we get to hear one of the most anticipated tracks, “Infectious” featuring Snoop Dogg.
Charlie and the West Coast rap legend have had a relationship for many years, in fact Snoop is credited as giving him the nickname Uncle Charlie. They have worked together going all the way back to Snoop’s 1996 album Tha Doggfather. Now, Charlie calls on his old friend for a new groovy, up-tempo, reminiscent of his Gap Band days.
“She’s so infectious, she’s dancing reckless / She’s shackin bacon / Good lord, oow,” sings Charlie while Snoop backs him up with adlibs and a smooth verse.
On February 12, Wilson will hit the road on “The Forever Charlie Tour,” along with KEM and Joe.
