Gotta get it how you live, right?
Supergroup TLC is definitely living by that motto this year, and we absolutely can’t blame them. With over 20 years of music making and record breaking under their belt, the now duo – which consists of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas – is taking a different approach to connecting with their fans in 2015.
Announcing that they will be releasing one final album as a group, T-Boz and Chilli have taken to Kickstarter to ask fans for their help in making the project come to life. Hoping for the support of their die-heart fans, the duo has set a goal of $150,000 to be reached in 30 days. Kicking off the fundraiser on Monday, January 19, the page has already received $10,000 worth of funding.
Stating that they wanted to be “creative, think outside the box, and just be free to do what we want to do,” the duo says that they want to do something for the fans that have been there since day one. Already in the works of creating new music, T-Boz and Chilli let each of the fans know that there is more for them if they donate to the cause.
Donations begin at $5 and includes direct communication with the ladies as well as an exclusive Kickstarter track from them. And, it doesn’t stop there. The more generous you are with your coins, the bigger the reward you will receive. Depending on how much you donate, prizes can include having your name in the upcoming album booklet, a TLC scrapbook, a call from the group, a movie date with either of the ladies, and more!
