Emerging singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra, who is signed to Grammy-winning producer / Def Jam EVP of A&R, No I.D.’s Atrium label released her debut EP, ‘There Will Be Sunshine,’ last fall, and now she has returned with the impressive vintage soul single “Emotional.”
Opening with blaring horns, the almighty RZA (Wu-Tang) channels a deep groove that finds the singer wailing out for love.
“Ooo I need somebody to hold me / You don’t need to tell me, I know that it’s love / Cause it hurts,” she belts on the chorus.
“I met RZA over a year ago at Nile Rodgers Grammy party, I have so much respect for him as a producer and artist and I’ve always loved his vibe as a person,” says the Swedish/ Persian singer. “We spoke about working and, magically one year after, it happened in the most unexpected way! This song represents exactly what I’m going through at this very moment in my life.”
