Atlantic Records signee Lauriana Mae returns with a slick new joint to put your ears on. The New Jersey native flexes her vintage, soulful vocals on the Wu-Tang inspired “Protect Ya Neck,” the first release off her forthcoming EP, ‘City of Diamonds.’
“You can live your life in hindsight, or you can take what they don’t wanna give / If you lose you get the spotlight, but if you win they wanna kill you like most kings,” she sings over the funky Jack Splash production.
‘City of Diamonds‘ follows the release of her debut EP, ‘Love Mae,’ on which she collaborated exclusively with producer Kwamé.
