Brandy, Kelly Rowland Nab New Shows on BET

Roll out the red carpets ladies and gents! Brandy and Kelly Rowland are coming to a TV screen near you!

As much as we would like this to be a joint venture between the two R&B songbirds, BET has announced today that the two BFF’s and singers will be receiving their own separate shows when the network reveals it’s new line-up.

Kelly, who nabbed a new reality show, will serve as a talent scout searching for the newest talent on the scene that she’s helped mold since her days as a teen. Titled ‘Chasing Destiny,’ the reality show will follow Kelly as she looks for the “next blazing hot singing sensation that will bring together young women,” and own up to the standards that she has for musical excellence.

While Kelly will be holding down the reality TV fort, Brandy opted to take it back to the scripted shows to bring to fans.

As the final season of Mara Akil’s The Game is wrapping up, so is Ms. Norwood’s free time. Starring in the new show titled ‘Zoë Moon,’ Brandy – who plays the title character – is a newly divorced single mother who is attempting to get readjusted to life without her husband. Trying her hand at a career as a cosmetics mogul work as well as keeping her ex-husband in her past, and meeting someone (or two) along the way, Zoë Moon will hopefully have the energy to pick up where Moesha left off.
