Rico Love is hot on the heels of the remix to his single “Somebody Else” featuring Usher and Wiz Khalifa, and now this week the hitmaker shares the smooth, introspective song “Days Go By.”
Opening up with honest feelings over losing love, Rico provides a new anthem for the broken hearted.
“I wrote this song with Phil Collins and Lionel Richie in mind! It’s one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written,” he said. “It’s about missing someone so much that it hurts. I just want to write honest music about what ppl REALLY go through! Love is real. Pain is real!”
Describing the melancholy existence one can feel Rico sings; “Floating in circles, feeling so worthless / Then the days go by, and nights get longer / I thought the craving stopped by I still want ya.”
Fans that pre-order Rico’s debut album Turn The Lights On will receive the song as an instant download. The full album is due out May 19.
