Probably one of the most unexpected collaborations this year has come from Jason Derulo and K. Michelle, off the pop singer’s latest album Everything Is 4.
The seductive slow burner, titled “Love Like That,” is a story of secret love as Derulo plays the “good” friend of K’s “bad” guy, who is about to get cheated on if he doesn’t get his act together.
“Ok, it just hit 3:30 he ain’t home yet / Ok, I might do something that I’ma regret / He don’t treat me right, but he still my n*gga / Somehow, we can’t control ourselves cuz we on that liquor,” sings K. Michelle. While Jason admits he didn’t plan to fall for her, but maybe it is meant to be, singing: “This ain’t no sh*t that can be planned / Some people never find love, maybe we can.”
