You may recall hearing a preview of Trey Songz and Jennifer Lopez’ recent collaboration “What You Mean To Me,” off the upcoming soundtrack to the new Broadway musical Finding Neverland. The acclaimed production, which is produced by Gary Barlow and executive produced by Harvey Weinstein, has attracted a cast of A-listers for the soundtrack as well, which hit stores on June 9.
R&B crooner John Legend is among the bunch, and he offers a resounding performance of the song “My Imagination.”
“To hide in my imagination, there is always magic waiting / Never counting time, always on my mind,” he sings.
Finding Neverland is based on the Oscar-winning movie of the same name, starring Johnny Depp, and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan, written by Allan Knee. The musical explores playwright J.M. Barrie’s relationship with the real-life family that inspired the “Peter Pan” story.
