Great news for the The Weeknd continues as it has been announced by Billboard that the R&B star has become the first artist to rule the top three slots on the nearly three-year-old Hot R&B Songs chart!
His recent single “The Hills” hops 4-2 on the chart dated July 25, joining “Earned It” at No. 3, and the blazing hot “Can’t Feel My Face” (No. 1) at the top.
“Hills” reaches a new weekly streaming high of 11.8 million domestic streams during the week ending July 9 (a 15 percent increase, according to Nielsen Music), aiding in its chart rise.
Robin Thicke is the only other artist to have occupied two out of the top three spots on the chart when “Blurred Lines” and “Give It 2 You” were No. 1 and 3 for three weeks in 2013.
Both “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face” can be found on The Weeknd’s upcoming album Beauty Behind the Madness, due Aug. 28.
