Following last month’s release of her brand new single “Higher,” accomplished singer/songwriter/actress Antonique Smith premieres a stripped down acoustic version.
While the original finds Smith delivering an emotion evoking vocal performance over an anthemic production by Midi Mafia, Darulah and The Track Burnaz, the songstress shines on an elevated level over the singular guitar lead track.
“Higher is about that moment when guys are afraid to commit,” says Smith. “When that happens, women start asking all the wrong questions. But, there is something you can say to a man to make him look at you differently and want that commitment. That something is the message of Higher.”
Antonique is currently prepping for the release of her new EP Love Is Everything, due out November 20. She will also be co-starring in the new TV One movie Stock Option, airing Nov. 7
