Many were skeptical how Tamar Braxton would fare on “Dancing with the Stars” but each week she continues to win over the judges. On last night’s episode the singer, who’s new album Calling All Lovers is in stores now, paid tribute to R&B icon Janet Jackson.
Donning military attire, Tamar and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy nailed choreography from Janet’s 1989 “Rhythm Nation” video in honor of Famous Dances Night. They were joined by a troupe of dancers during their electrifying performance, which aired in black and white.
The judges were clearly impressed, giving the duo a perfect score of 40.
In between her weekly appearances on “Dancing with the Stars,” Tamar is co-hosting “The Real” and gearing up to release a Christmas album with her sisters called Braxton Family Christmas on Oct. 30.
