After a breakout year in 2015, buzzing artist Andra Day returns with a brand new cover song. Adding her naturally soulful, jazzy inflections, the Grammy-nominated singer takes on Kendrick Lamar’s “No Make Up” from his classic breakout album Section.80.
A perfect pairing, one K.Dot would surely approve of, we would love to hear an official collabo between the two artists. Breaking the track down, Day even mixes in some of Lil Kim’s “Crush On You” as well.
On February 29, she will kick off a 16-city North American tour in San Francisco, traveling to cities such as Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Toronto and more, before culminating in Los Angeles on March 30.
