As fans await her anticipated sophomore album Joyride, young star Tinashe is having some “natural fun” along with DJ Cassidy.
Teaming up for the new collaboration for a Target ad, the singer-songwriter has remade Tom Tom Club’s classic “Genius of Love,” which was most famously sampled for Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy.”
The M.A.C spokeswoman, whose “Joyride World Tour” kicks off Feb. 28, sings some of the original lyrics mixed along with her own and provides ad libs over DJ Cassidy’s revamped production.
