Buzzing singer Gallant has continuously mesmerized with each release over the years, and with his first of 2016 he keeps us locked in again. Teaming up with Red Bull Sound Select for the release of his brand new song “Skipping Stones,” a duet with Jhené Aiko produced by the amazing Adrian Younge and Stint, the LA native caters to the lonely folks this Valentine’s Day.
Prized for his otherworldly falsetto Gallant delivers deep emotion over the tender bassline and bright horns of the vintage soul styled track. Aiko harmonizes about lessons learned and what they might be missing.
“Holding out for something I can’t force,” wails Gallant on the chorus.
The new song is part of Gallant’s two-song digital single that will be released via Red Bull Sound Select Friday, Feb. 5. The other tune included in the release is “Borderline,” which features James Fauntleroy and came out last December through Red Bull’s 20 Before 16 series.
