North Dakota-born artist ELHAE calls on Kehlani for the delivery of his new single “Doesn’t Matter.” Taken from his 11-track album, All Have Fallen – which was released today through Dream Loud Music Group and Atlantic Records – the song exposes ELHAE’s talents as both a singer and rapper.
Set over a trap-inspired Upperclassmen (Ayo the Producer, KEYZBABY) production, ELHAE, which stands for Every Life Has An Ending, lets us in on his journey and when he reminded his mom that they were “gonna be on.”
Singing, “Been through the storm, and I know / That they always think that they know / But baby I want you to know that I’ma do me and just see how it goes,” ELHAE sets listeners up for an ending verse from Tsunami Kehlani who says that she has purpose now.
“I had the idea for All Have Fallen for years and I’m happy that I waited for the right time to execute it,” he told The FADER. “From top to bottom I had a vision for how I wanted this project to turn out and it happened naturally. Working with Kehlani was dope as well, we’ve been friends for a while now so I felt it was only right to make that happen. I hope fans enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.”
