Just last week we were introduced to rising R&B artist Tone Stith with the sexy tune “When You Call,” and now the emerging singer/songwriter/producer returns with another stellar groove titled “Rainy Days,” which will definitely put you in your feelings.
A blossoming love will always grow stronger when the weather forces you to get closer, and that is exactly the situation Tone is reminiscing about on the sultry new track, which will hopefully be included on his forthcoming debut project, California 70.
“Ooh baby I love when it rains outside / It always makes you stay the night / ‘Cause you don’t really like to drive, in the stormy weather, and that’s alright / No no, I don’t blame ya baby, get yourself comfortable just lay there / So I can hold ya tight, the whole time,” he sings.
The New Jersey native, now residing in LA, is crafting his debut project under the tutelage of Jas Prince (who is most famous for being credited with getting Drake signed to Cash Money). It is expected to draw from influences he grew up hearing from his parents, including the feel-good soul and funk of the ’70s and ’80s, and blending that into a modern approach. His name is still new to most, but you’ve probably already heard his talents by his recent work with Chris Brown, notably his contributions to Royalty, including hit single “Liquor” and the retro R&B styled “Make Love.”
You’ll need to press repeat on this one. Take a listen below!
