Kandace Springs makes the jazzy soul that is so pleasant you are immediately transported to a blissful music land, where relaxation is a must.
The Prince co-signed songstress is now prepping for the release of her official Blue Note Records debut album Soul Eyes, due out June 24 in the U.S. and worldwide July 1.
Springs gets us ready for the LP with the single and performance video for “Thought It Would be Easier,” which finds her in the Capitol Records studio, at a grand piano with a room full of vintage mics to capture her sultry vocals.
“Sometimes I do alright, then I remember how I dreamed it, how I need it / I thought it would be easier… They never told me I’d be lonely, no,” she sings.
