The 2016 ESPY Awards were held on Wednesday (July 13), at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
In addition to the many awards given out to the top athletes in the world, including Lebron James-who took home 3 awards plus 3 team awards, the gifted Andra Day was a special performer for the ‘In Memoriam’ segment.
Backed by a trio of violinists, Day stood in front of a large screen, which projected images of the great athletes and coaches who passed away this past year, and she belted out her heartfelt song “Rearview,” off her acclaimed debut album Cheers to the Fall.
