Drake’s father Dennis Graham is out to prove that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
The 60-something-year-old is launching a new musical career and is giving fans a taste with a snippet of his new single and video for “Kinda Crazy.”
“It’s kinda crazy, but I feel you underneath my skin / At first glance, I think it’s where my obsession begins,” he sings.
Drizzy’s dad teamed up with producer Jamie Iovine, the son of Apple Music executive Jimmy Iovine, for the song and will be dropping it this month while he completes his R&B album.
Drake, who has given his stamp of approval, has rapped about his father’s musical inclinations in the past, perhaps most notably on “You & the 6” off If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
“Having conversations with momma, we start talkin’ ’bout dad,” he rhymes. “You know he dropping a single / He saying this is his window / That ni**a still wearing linen / That ni**a still in the club / Call him after we get off the phone and show him some love.”
