Republic Records signee and buzzing singer STANAJ has released his anticipated debut project, The Preview EP, today (Aug. 9) at all digital retailers and streaming platforms.
STANAJ’s story is almost unbelievable until you hear him sing. Before ever releasing a proper single, the 22-year-old New York-born singer garnered mega social media endorsements from the likes of Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, NBA star Brandon Jennings, and many more. He also performed at Coachella prior to releasing any original music, famously played Drake’s piano at the YOLO Estate, and landed a record deal with LAVA/Republic Records. Now, his singular sound adds an edge to pop soul punctuated with a nod to ’90s R&B.
The first single from his debut project, “Ain’t Love Strange,” spotlights STANAJ’s massive and magnetic voice. Co-written by Sebastian Kole (Alessia Cara’s “Here”), the track juxtaposes airy, sparse production and piano with his undeniable, resounding vocals. The EP also features “Romantic,” which racked up over 200K plays on Soundcloud upon its recent release. To bring this vision to life, STANAJ co-wrote and worked with an A-list team of producers and songwriters, including Justin Tranter (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez), Mattman & Robin (Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas), and HazeBanga (Mariah Carey, Santigold).
