Grammy-winning trio, KING has enchanted critics and fans since their 2011 debut. The enchantment continues with the release of the enlightening visuals for “Native Land,” the third animated music video from their critically-acclaimed debut album, We Are KING. With vivid animation and colors, the video’s imagery is an exploration through the known, unknown and beyond of life. Themes surrounding the circle of life and humans’ interaction with nature paint a virtual kaleidoscope.
“For ‘Native Land,’ we collaborated with Filip Anthonissen to imagine a visual journey through the landscapes of birth, life, and death, paying homage throughout to every person’s unique ancestral story,” explains member Paris Strother. “We love the surreal quality of this video – it’s been incredible to work with a series of artists who contribute so much to the narrative and bring the songs to life.”
After the success of their sold-out world tour, the Los Angeles based group—comprised of Twins Paris and Amber Strother and Anita Bias—will be back on the road this fall for an extended North American leg of their “We Are KING” worldwide tour. Kicking off September 28 in San Diego, KING will also make stops in several major cities including Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Boston and Atlanta. A recent late night television debut on Conan with singer, Corinne Bailey Rae highlighted their lush vocals.
