On Friday night (Nov. 4), the Soul Train Weekend continued with Jill Scott, Tyrese, Anthony Hamilton and Tish Hyman as part of the “Soul Train Music Festival” at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Rising singer/songwriter Tish Hyman kicked off the festivities with her smooth hits such as “Subway Art” and “Four Letter Word”. Next up was Anthony Hamilton, who had the crowd singing along to his soul-stirring vocals.
The energetic audience exploded with screams when singer and actor Tyrese took over the mic. Flashing his dazzling smile, he kept the party going as he performed a medley of his classics hits.
Last but not least was three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Scott, who shut down the Mandalay Bay Events Center with her epic rifts and powerful vocals.
The 2016 Soul Train Awards will take place at the Orleans Area in Las Vegas on Sunday, Nov. 6. The show will air across CENTRIC and BET Networks on Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
