Jhené Aiko loves animals, and feeling confident in her own skin. Which makes her the perfect candidate to support PETA’s new “Drop the Fur” campaign.
The sexy songstress appears in the buff for PETA’s latest ad campaign, which was unveiled in Los Angeles on Monday at “Naked Ambition,” a retrospective exhibit of the group’s naked celebrity campaigns.
“Animals have feelings, they have souls, they have emotions, and the way that they are killed for fur is very inhumane,” says Aiko in an exclusive video interview. “They’re electrocuted, they’re beaten, they’re drowned, they’re skinned alive. And once you know that, it’s, like, how could you think wearing fur is cool? … [I]t’s not.”
Aiko previously starred in an animal adoption campaign for peta2, PETA’s youth division, and is part of a long list of celebrities—including Kid Ink, P!nk, Mýa, TLC’s Chilli, Kesha, Sia, and others—who’ve teamed up with PETA to promote kindness to animals.

Love this ad! When there are so many animal-friendly choices available, why would anyone wear real fur?
I’m with Jhene. It’s wrong to kill animals for their hair, not to mention terrible for the environment.
She is such a great singer and this is such a beautiful ad. I totally agree with
her stance on fur. I wouldn’t be caught dead in it.
It’s a contradiction. She has a lot of tattoos which we all know tattoos have a lot of animal products in them.
