Jhené Aiko is on a promo run in New York City today, and she stopped by Power 105.1 to talk with ‘The Breakfast Club,’ and Hot 97 for an interview on ‘Ebro In The Morning.’
The singer recently released the provocative song and music video “Maniac,” and the conversations quickly went to the raunchy lyrics of the song, as Jhené attempted to explain her inspiration. She did say that her boyfriend and collaborator Big Sean was a portion of the inspiration.
Continuing on about Sean, Aiko spoke about their duo TWENTY88 and why they didn’t promote the album more. She did reveal that they will be more music together though. Jhené also talked briefly about her secret marriage to producer Dot Da Genius, who she was with for 2 years before Big Sean. Additionally, she spoke about raising her 8-year-old daughter, and talked a little about her anticipated upcoming album.
