Ro James kicks off his first headlining tour today (Feb. 3), and to give fans something more, the New York based crooner has premiered the visual for “Holy Water,” off his acclaimed debut album Eldorado.
Set in a desert landscape, the Sarah McColgan-directed video finds Ro in a fur and leather as he belts out the soul-stirring, commanding song. “When the rain gets to falling / It’s coming down on me / Feels like the weight of the world was blind / But now I see that it’s just holy water / It reminds me not to lose my soul,” he sings from the top of a trailer home.
In between scenes of him in bed with his lover, and in a bath, Ro is also dragging a shovel through the dirt, and potentially digging up the body of his woman, as he lays next to her lifeless body in the dirt. It’s a powerful clip filled with lustful, and passionate scenes.
Ro kicks off his “XIX Tour” today in Portland, Oregon and is set to pull up in 23 cities across North America before wrapping up on March 11 in Memphis, TN.
